Video to DVD Services

Video Capture

If you would like to be able to do the editing of your film footage yourself, but have no means of getting the film onto your system, we can provide a service to capture it for you and save it in a digital format for use in your own video editing package.

The default file format that we use for this Video Capture service is MPEG2, which is suitable for use in the majority of PC video editing packages.  If you would prefer a different format, then please contact us with details of your requirements and we will provide you with a quote.

The MPEG2 files captured with this service will be written to DVD-R disk(s) and supplied in CD/DVD sleeves (i.e. not DVD cases).

Alternatively, if you're not sure what format you need, just contact us with details of how you're planning to use the film and we will be more than happy to advise you.

Please note: the disks created with our Video Capture service will not play in a regular DVD player - they are provided for you to be able to edit the footage in your own video editing software and to edit and create playable DVDs for yourself.

Custom Editing

We can do most custom editing work, to meet your own specific requirements, or even just capture the film from your tapes for you so that you can do your own editing.

Examples of some of the types of editing we can do are included below.  This is certainly not an exhaustive list, so please contact us with further details of your requirements so that we can agree how best to proceed.

• cutting out unwanted sections
• joining together footage from different tapes (even different formats)
• addition of music
• slideshow of still photos

  • can be traditional photos that we scan in
  • can be digital photos you send to us
  • can be a slideshow created from screenshots taken from the film itself
• slow motion (great for replays of your child scoring a goal!)
• use of transitions
• customised menu, with still or motion thumbnails
• titles and credits to suit almost any requirement
